Mad Money meets South Park

I’m sure you all know how much I LOVE CNBC.com. One of my favorite shows is Mad Money featuring Jim CRAMER, CNBC on air personality & former hedge fund manager. His energetic personality & catchy quirks are legendary enough to catch the eye of South Park writer’s who used him as a guide for the video below making him a part of the NEW “American Icons.”

Take a minute to watch this hysterical take on Social Networking & it’s potential long term value.

Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative Program

“Is the AMERICAN DREAM of home ownership slipping away…or is it simply time to stop & rebuild with a stronger foundation?”

Monday April 5th, the Administration unveiled HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative) program. Including such perks as up to $3k in “relocation expenses,” this program is supposed to help clean up the bottle neck of short sales & “hidden” foreclosure market.

Is this another case of “too little to late?” or is this the KICK START the housing market needed to get real estate back on track in 2010.

REALTORS: What do you think?

Hey, Soul Sister

“Hey, Soul Sista…” has brought the band back to the MUSIC world like a FREIGHT TRAIN!

I know it’s CRAZY to think you can meet a SOUL SISTER or BFF via FaceBook, Twitter or Social Networking but…doh, COUPLES have been hooking up 4 years on Match.com, E-Harmony, etc. Why shouldn’t we be able to find soul sisters on-line too.*Giggles

“I’ve met girls who “just happen” to have dated the same guy but the reason we met is because we are a lot alike!!! Ding, Ding…guys have types & obviously the girls he dates have common interests, etc. Girlfriends are 4-ever, boyfriends come & go;) The GREAT ones know girlfriends are an occupational hazard!”

I work a LOT & find it hard to meet new people who are “just like me!” On-line I can connect w/people instantly & KNOW they are “who they say they are,” because I see pics of their friends & family, read links they read, know what makes their day & what makes them cry…it’s REALITY TV community edition.

ANYWHO…LOVE, Love, love this song & hope you do too. I think these girls are FIERCE for being who they are & ROCKING it out like this.

Hey, Soul Sister: TRAIN

LYRICS

Heeey, Heeeeey, Heeeeeey.

Your lipstick stains, on the front lobe of my left side brains,
I knew I wouldn’t forget ya, and so I went and let you blow my mind.

Your sweet moon-beam, the smell of you in every single dream I dream.
I knew when we collided, you’re the one I have decided,
Who’s one of my kind.

Hey, Soul Sister, ain’t that mister mister on the radio, stereo,
The way you move ain’t fair you know.
Hey, Soul Sister, I don’t wanna miss a single thing you dooooo…
Tonight.

Heeey Heeeeey Heeeeeey…

Just in time, I´m so glad you have a one-track mind like me.
You gave my life direction,
A game show love connection, we can’t deny…

I´m so obsessed, my heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest.
I believe in you, like a virgin you’re Madonna,
And I’m always gonna wanna blow your mind…

Hey, Soul Sister, ain’t that mister mister on the radio, stereo,
The way you move ain’t fair you know.
Hey, Soul Sister, I don’t wanna miss a single thing you dooooo…
Tonight,

Way you can cut a rug,
Watching you’s the only drug I need.
So gangster, I’m so thug,
You’re the only one I’m dreaming of you see.
I can be myself now finally,
In fact there’s nothing I can’t be,
I want the world to see you be, with me,

Hey, Soul Sister, ain’t that mister mister on the radio, stereo,
The way you move ain’t fair you know.
Hey, Soul Sister, I don’t wanna miss a single thing you do tonight…

Hey, Soul Sister, I don’t wanna miss a single thing you dooooo…
Tonight.
Heeey, Heeeeey, Heeeeeey, tonight.
Heeey, Heeeeey, Heeeeeey.
Tonight.

Clermont Florida meet Google BUZZ

“Will Google float like a butterfly….sting like a BEE w/the NEW Google BUZZ?”

The newest BUZZ on line is about Goggle’s NEWEST attempt to RECREATE a platform similar to social networking sites such as FaceBook, MySpace & Twitter. Utilizing it’s already HUGE client base & instantly incorporating your existing e-mail contacts list gives Google a BIG advantage, yet execution will DECIDE if Google BUZZ becomes the next big STING…*Giggles

2010 RPAC Committee

Today is Day 1…

My 1st official meeting as the new RPAC Chair for the REALTORS Association of Lake & Sumter County. (RPAC meaning of course REALTORS Political Action Committee…don’t worry I honestly didn’t know what it meant either until I became involved.)

“To say I’m a little nervous is an understatement. No matter how many times I speak in public, I always get butterflies. Most people who know me think public speaking is “my thing” which means I’m doing a pretty good job of faking it! *Giggles…the main reason for my nerves is that I’m stepping into the footsteps of a very dynamic & gracious lady. Last year’s RPAC chair was one of Lake’s County’s top agents in every sense of the word, hard working to a fault but yet we fell short of our 2009 goal.  We did however, rally our board to raise 47% of goal in one of the worst housing markets in recent history…”

2010 is a NEW year & we must put a NEW face on real estate. Gone are the images of REALTORS who simply drive people around showing houses & left in their place are strong, battle scared business professionals. In the last few years we have seen the end of “weekend REALTORS” due to the constant changes in the market, rising cost of education required to keep up with legalities of today’s SHORT SALES & FORECLOSURES.

Today’s REALTORS are perhaps the most educated in our field in addition to the Global Economy. We take the time to understand our community, our profession & our voice in the political forum.  Thing’s like TARP, Cash for Clunkers, Amendment 4 & $8K  Home buyer Tax Credit have made political involvement paramount.

I believe that due to this growing involvement, education & housing market recovery my job as RPAC Chair will be easier than in past years. As REALTORS throughout the county begin to understand that we have a voice, that we can & will help rebuild this housing market we will each understand our responsibility to give either our time or our money to make that goal a reality.

In 2010 we must do all the things we were trained to do to be successful. The members of my 2010 RPAC Committee have all been top producers & leaders in Lake County. They know what it takes to be on top. Now with the wisdom the past few years has given us we will be again.

“LET’S DO IT AGAIN in 2010!”

*once the fastest growing community in the country

“This year iPledge to help Lake & Sumter County reach it’s 2010 RPAC Goal by Dec. 1st! Forget the past & focus on the future…and just like Haiti’s flag states, together we can accomplish anything!”

WOMEN’S ONE FLAW

The historic photo (Migrant Mother) above was taken by Dorothea Lange in February or March of 1936 in Nipoma, California while photographing migratory farming for the Resettlement Administration. (FULL STORY)

When people ask me, “Why do you take so many photos?”

My answer can be best summed up by showing them pictures like these.

As women, we forget our worth & our value to society. In days of old a PICTURE was considered HISTORIC & a way to share information throughout time with the simple snap of the shutter. Ironic that now in this digital age some of the most historic events in each of our lives go unnoticed without a single note or photo to share with the FUTURE.

“I saw and approached the hungry and desperate mother, as if drawn by a magnet. I do not remember how I explained my presence or my camera to her, but I do remember she asked me no questions. I made five exposures, working closer and closer from the same direction. I did not ask her name or her history. She told me her age, that she was thirty-two. She said that they had been living on frozen vegetables from the surrounding fields, and birds that the children killed. She had just sold the tires from her car to buy food. There she sat in that lean- to tent with her children huddled around her, and seemed to know that my pictures might help her, and so she helped me. There was a sort of equality about it.” Dorothea Lange remembers when asked in 1960 if she knew then of the historic significance this photo would have.

One Flaw In Women~anonymous

Women have strengths that amaze men…..

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in..

They stand up to injustice.

They don’t take “no” for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas
.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
