The JERK, 1979

Few movies throughout the years have had enough humor & truth blended into them to create comedic perfection. In my humble opinion THE JERK has managed that in one unexpected package.

LAUGH til you want to cry…but THINK, how far have we REALLY come?

TOGETHER…look how far we can go:D

What’s your version of HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

Tell down below in that “COMMENTS” section what this movie makes you think about. No secret computer Swine flu or spyware involved…that we know of? DUM DUM DUM…cue the spooky sound effect. Sorry not that advanced YET!

Let me know what your thought of the images this Steve Martin film represents. Imagine this being watched in a movie theater (GRAND THEATER) where only 20 years before white people & black people would not have been allowed to MIX.

FUNNY how comedy can make TRUTH easier to understand. Simple truths like “…under GOD, all men are created equal.”  Deep down we all want the same things in life. Security for our family, good health & enough to get by:D

Hope you had an AMAZING week & are preparing for an even better new one.

*PEACE, LOVE, OUT!

Paolo Nutini – Candy

paolo_ssu_cover_large

You might remember Paolo Nutini from his debut hit  NEW SHOES. This time the 20 something Scotsman has brought us some folk flare & some seriously inspired arrangements with his newest album “Sunny Side Up.”

paolo_nutini_dressed“Nutini plays the raggedly soulful Paisley boy on his homecoming, dispensing warm words of wisdom and heartfelt hippie sentiment to his nearest and dearest,” according to recent reviews.

All I can say is that I heard the song the first time as I walked past my TV. The melody & soulful voice forced me to come back & record the video. I honestly didn’t know who was singing it was so different from what I expected a Paolo Nutini song to be.  It’s a fresh spin on the 70′s Folk era & I think due to similar turbulent times, his new voice will be well received.

Listen for yourself & let me know what you think!

I’m always looking for new music to add to my life’s soundtrack:D

Please feel free to share what you’ve found HOT or NEW on the MUSIC scene.

WORDS TO CANDY
Paolo Nutini

I was perched outside in the pouring rain
Trying to make myself a sail
Then I'll float to you my darlin'
With the evening on my tail
Although not the most honest means of travel
It gets me there nonetheless
I'm a heartless man at worst, babe
And a helpless one at best

Darling I'll bathe your skin
I'll even wash your clothes
Just give me some candy, before I go
Oh, darling I'll kiss your eyes
And lay you down on your rug
Just give me some candy
After my heart

Oh I'm often false explaining
But to her it plays out all the same
and although I'm left defeated
It get's held against my name
I know you got plenty to offer baby
But I guess I've taken quite enough
Well I'm some stain there on your bedsheet
You're my diamond in the rough

Darling I'll bathe your skin
I'll even wash your clothes
Just give me some candy
before I go
Oh, darling I'll kiss your eyes
And lay you down on your rug
Just give me some candy
After my heart

I know that there´re writings on the wall
But Darling I'll bathe your skin
I'll even wash your clothes
Just give me some candy
After my heart

Oh I'll be there waiting for you (repeat)

Bjoern Global….a fairy tale begins

MORTEN Comes

HOME April 11th…

Every story has a beginning, middle & ending.  Our story begins, like most fairy tales end….

“and they lived happily ever after.”

However, in order for you to appreciate the entire story we should tell the story in true Disney style.

There once was a girl named Kimber that lived in the fairytale land of  Florida, nestled near the heart of Disney World.  She dreamed of her handsome prince one day riding in on his white horse & sweeping her off her feet into the sunset…(enter handsome prince).
red-potted-palnts-denmarkIn a distant land far, far away (kind of more Star Wars than Disney but try follow along with me) lived a handsome prince/Viking/sailor that dreamed of one day meeting an exotic princess that he could defend & protect.  Living in the wintery, Nordic lands of Denmark had made this prince a master at all things Viking/sailing/shipping & also gave him an appreciation of warmer isles.  This led to him to traveling in true Viking style, in search of his beloved.  After many visits to Miami Florida where shipping & sunshine are plentiful along with beautiful exotic princesses, he found the fair Kimber! (cue first kiss).
tranquility-bridge1Like most love stories there is always an inadvertent match maker & this story is no different…One day the exotic princess & the Danish prince met on-line through a mutual FB friend.  Just like all fairy tales, it was love at first sight.  Soon they were engaged & married!
The Danish prince (Morten) & the exotic princess (Kimber) married then honeymooned across the Danish countryside.  Their love grew to include not only each other but the country of Denmark & it’s amazing history & culture.  Now the lovebirds were torn…where would they spend their “happily ever after?” (enter Bjoern Global).
Of course the only way to be able to enjoy life with each other, theirr families & with both the countries they love, Kimber & Morten created Bjoern Global.  Together with a band of their closest, most trusted ladies & knights they strive to bridge the gap between both countries, it’s people, and maybe make the world a better place.
ship-royal-operaOur goal is to live happily ever after…surrounded by our friends & loved ones.  With families in both Denmark & the US, we can help anyone from other countries to bridge the gaps between them.  Since we have had to fight dragons (red tape) & overcome the difficulties of bringing together two people from two different “world’s,” we want to help others have a much smoother transition.
Whether it’s help taking advantage of the amazing pricing of investment homes in the US due to the dropping home market or finding an amazing yet affordable vacation home in Florida or in Denmark, we are here to help.  Americans can discover the history, beauty & culture of Denmark and the Danish can explore the tropical climates of the US & the surrounding island nations.
kim-mortenBjoern Global allows us to spend time, as equally as possible, in both Denmark & Florida.  Our fondest hope is to make as many friends as possible, while building a successful company along the way.  If you would like to be a part of this fairy tale or need help with your own, remember:

“If you can dream it, we can help make it reality…ask us how we can help!”

Stay tuned for more juicy details about this modern day fairy tale…

Alchemist

The Alchemist, Paulo CoelhoBest-selling author of “The Alchemist”, Paulo Coelho, is breaking all the rules in traditional publishing. Against the advice of industry insiders, Coelho started a WordPress blogsite, http://piratecoelho.wordpress.com/
At a recent Digital, Life, Design conference in Munich, Coelho related his success through digital file sharing.
“In 2001, I sold 10,000 hard copies. And everyone was puzzled. We came from zero, from 1000, to 10,000. And then the next year we were over 100,000. [...]

I thought that this is fantastic. You give to the reader the possibility of reading your books and choosing whether to buy it or not. [...]

So, I went to BitTorrent and I got all my pirate editions… And I created a site called The Pirate Coelho.”
In today’s on-line piracy wars, Coelho has seemingly taken the “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em,” method of thought. Other high level artists have followed suit, offering similar samplings of their work. Jason Mraz and other well know muscians have teamed up with Face Book to provide applications including streaming video/audio and free downloads.
“Believe it or not, the sales of the book increased a lot thanks to the Pirate Coelho site…” the author confirms.

Does this sharing of information actually stimulate sales?

Reality is Perception

*While writing my recent article for Kimberanna.com I stumbled upon a photo that made me pause to reflect.  (Dug http://villageofjoy.com/amazing-3d-sidewalk-art/ ) The photographer featured  Rosalind Rattus, melded Art & Photography.  Her pic perfectly described my Reality is Perception theory.
Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: The Artist "Faces" Himself! by RedRoseRattus.
My outlook on life is that you are what you create.
Wake up every morning, put on your make up or don’t.
Do what makes you feel beautiful, special, unique.
Every experience you have, every article you read, every friend that you make sculpts the ‘package’ that the world sees when they look at you.
If this is true, “Can I change who I am, by changing how I appear?”
Fake it til you make it?
The answer is simpler than that.
Just be who you are…
Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: Square Of Slabs "Removed" From Sidewalk! by RedRoseRattus.
The answer is a secret, that everyone knows the answer to…
Can you control your own destiny?
Obviously more learned men than I, (Bob Costos, lol.) have wrestled with this question throughout history.
If you do something seven times, (I think it’s seven, couldn’t find it atm) it becomes habit.
Yet MIT discovered even if you take the treat at the end of the maze away, the rats would still follow the same path hoping for the cheese.  Why?
They fear the unknown more than the known.
When faced with a path that we perceive as safe or known, most of us will always pick that one, even if the only reward is knowing you will get somewhere.
EDUCATE YOURSELF.
Knowledge is power and is available to everyone.
FREE.
Pick who you want to be and become it…

Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: A "Dead Fly" Lies On The Sidewalk! by RedRoseRattus.
We all have challenges that pop up, usually when we think we can handle them the least.
Once again we must train our minds with relativity and overcome like David did Goliath.
The size of the problem may seem trivial when compared to the bigger picture.
You may be losing your home but your family is safe, you are healthy.
Your child wasn’t killed to avoid paying child support.
We have built ourselves up to the point we are today once, so we can and will do it again.
This time learning from our mistakes.
Build a solid foundation.
Wealth is not the measure of happiness.
Happiness is the measure of wealth.
Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: A "Coca-Cola Bottle" Lies On The Sidewalk! by RedRoseRattus.
On Friday when your check hits the bank and you feel like a little pick me up, does taking the kids to McDonald’s to have Happy meals and play in the balls seem more special when you clear $600 a week than $10K?
Do you bring your camera to catch every smile or grin?
Do the kids know the difference?
Did you take the time to tie up their shoes or grumble for them to hurry up?
Don’t regret the past while you ignore the present.
Reality is always perception through the eyes of a child.
Our actions create their reality.
Surround yourself with them and learn perspective.
Sometimes just having them around makes me feel like I do when I see an old fashioned coke bottle.
That stolen moment ripped from the past…I pop off the cap and I’m back in Nelsonville, Ohio sitting by my Aunt Lorna, middle of summer watching the Parade of the Hills.
The world is at my feet.
“When I grow up, I want to be just like you!”, I coo as I sit watching her selling tickets for the Professional Woman’s Club.
“25 cents a ticket, 5 for $1.  Win this nice quilt!” I mimic.
A kid again… Future President of the United States.

Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: The Artist Reaches For His "Box Of Chalks"! by RedRoseRattus.
Now that you know the secret, you have the tools to create whatever future you truly desire.
Not what will get you the big house or the shiney car.
The you that enjoys your job, that doesn’t have anyone to answer to nor anyone to blame.
Let go and become what you really are inside.
Break down all your walls, use the tools your maker gave you and design a reality that reflects who you really are.
Not what the world has forced you to become.
BE HONEST. BE YOU.
Example Of 3D Sidewalk Art: Batman & Robin Rescue The Artist From a "Tall Building"! by RedRoseRattus.
Let the real you become the new you, the new you should be the real you.
Take stock of what you know you are.
What you like, what you can change, what you want to change.
Why do you need to change?
Write it down, use it as a reminder of what NOT to do.
Never forget the mistakes you made wear them as a badge of honor.
BATTLE SCARS…
What do you want? Visualize it.
Taste it, smell it, walk around inside it…literally, figuratively whatever.
You must know where you are going in order to make a roadmap for the trip there.
If you don’t know the way, follow someone.
Ask for directions.
It’s going to be a long journey, pack light.
Bring only your faith, thirst for knowledge and an open heart.
Let the inner hero in you breath life.
LIVE.LOVE.LAUGH…leave a LEGACY.

LEGACY*

Clark Kent has Superman, Peter Parker is Spidey…if you could become a super hero, who would you be?  I actually got that question in a FB message and it made me stop and think? Why didn’t anyone notice that Clark Kent looks just like Superman?  Come on…only Peter Parker, in all the city, can ever get a picture of Spider man.  Ok right.
Reality is Perception/Perception is Reality.  People see what they believe/ People believe what they see.  If you have to see it to believe it, then is it also true that you must believe it, in order to see it?
Fake it til you make it people…but never make it there a Fake.  My outlook on life is kind of a Ying/Yang, good Karma kind of thing so I guess my superpower would be friendship?  If you are a Heros  http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/photos/#cat=1231&sec=2388&mea=53654 fan, I am like Peter Petrelli with a dash of Tracy Strauss thrown in there for hotness factor.  I get stronger by using the powers I take from others.  My superhero name  is MUSE.  Follow my adventures as I change from Kimber to the Muse.  A Legacy awaits you…*Kisses Kimber                                           WHICH SUPERHERO AREYOU ?     http://www.thesuperheroquiz.com/

Pages from the past …

She takes the boxes of sweaters down from the top shelf. Last night’s cool breeze reminded her of her warm, yet worn grey cardigan. As she slides the boxes off the ledge she sees something drop from the corner of her eye…a flutter that catches her interest.

“What could have possibly been hidden there these last few months?” My mind races with thoughts of forgotten treasure, high school time capsules and hope chests. I wonder if it is something I put away to remember or something I hid away to forget?
As I set down the boxes, I look to where I think the item had landed. Now, where can I find something that looks like it wasn’t there before. I know “something” fell down from that ledge…but what. I sit quietly looking from the top shelf to my current position on the floor. Hmmm…if I were a something how would I fall? Almost as if cued I notice a stark white piece of paper folded in fourths. Its corners doglegged and worn. Must have been something I had tucked into one on my purses or files. Why would I stick it under those boxes….my mind still draws a blank, but my tummy starts to tingle.
I open the gently folded page and look to the top to see what the letter could possibly regard. The first lines bring a smile to my lips. “How many kisses do you want per day…” Secret wishes and dreams flutter across my mind like a summer shower. Every sensation triggers ripples and waves of emotion. Warmth begins to spread form the tips of my fingers as they grip the page, to my very core. I sit and enjoy the escape for a few moments longer. Transported to a different time, a different place, a different me.
The buzzing of my cell phone reminds me I am late for my meeting and my e-mails continue to pop up on the laptop teetering on the bed. Life is so full, yet so empty. The page begins to pulse anew, this time revitalizing me and spurring me into action. I tuck the page into the folds of my skirt. Just touching it hidden there so close to my skin, makes me feel a little stronger. I know what lies at my feet…mine to take if I chose. “Not yet…” I whisper to myself. I have things to do, things only I can take care of…but soon.
Grabbing my coach, shoes and keys I head for the door. My sunglasses hide my damp lashes as I grab the grey cardigan. Happily ever after is waiting and I can’t disappoint. I grab my diet coke and lock the door.
