At 4:53 (local time) Tuesday Jan. 12th 2010 on the tiny island nation of Haiti a miracle began…the world began to realize, we are “one people under God.”

Like the ultimate & most horrific reality show ever imagined, Americans & people from every country in the world were forced to watch as a proud, yet impoverished nation was destroyed by “an act of God.” From TV to the internet, there was no way to miss every detail of this historic event, making it so much more real & personal.

I chose the Elks lodge as the perfect place to have my birthday party because as we all enjoy the festivities, our money is going to a worthy cause, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. A nonprofit organization with deep roots in our community, history & charity.

*In November of 2009 Google incorporated social networking sites Twitter & Google into their web optimization search engines. (Savvy FB & Twitter users soon discovered their profiles became increasingly higher in searches as a direct result of their individual network usage (tweets/FB status changes) , making traditional web optimization practices outdated. What used to cost companies thousands of dollars can now be accomplished using current employees downtime to tweet or network.)
