Good News: The missing 11 yr old girl in Winter Springs Florida; Nadia Bloom found alive in the middle of swampy, wooded area. Volunteer searcher from the family’s church found Nadia in waist deep water. The child was unharmed after 4 days despite exposure to the elements & local wildlife (aligators, wild boar, bear, etc.) http://NadiaBloom.com

Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative Program

“Is the AMERICAN DREAM of home ownership slipping away…or is it simply time to stop & rebuild with a stronger foundation?”

Monday April 5th, the Administration unveiled HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative) program. Including such perks as up to $3k in “relocation expenses,” this program is supposed to help clean up the bottle neck of short sales & “hidden” foreclosure market.

Is this another case of “too little to late?” or is this the KICK START the housing market needed to get real estate back on track in 2010.

One Year Ago Today…

Do you ever sit down & take a good, hard look at where you are in your life? Is this where you expected to be that day they handed that diploma to you? Are you satisfied with what you have done with the gifts God gave you?

I believe the answer to these and many more goal oriented questions can be found in the past…look back on the past year & review all the things you actually did accomplish & expand upon them. If you failed to meet an expectation, REALIZE how much closer to that goal you are than you were just one short year ago.

It took years and years for us to get to where we are, it’s up to us to learn from our mistakes & FINALLY achieve our ultimate goal; FULFILLMENT.

The weather outside is so gorgeous all I can think about is getting out and doing something! Running around Lake Minneola, playing flag football, beating Jeff at basketball…*Giggles. SPRING has finally sprung here in beautiful Clermont Florida.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Clermont, I am more than spoiled by the sunshine states glorious weather. However, this past winter, like the recession, seemed to go on forever. With April fools day comes new hope that things are about to change & we all like the poor “April Fool,” will continue our journey a little wiser.

Hope you all continue to love life w/me on the BRIGHTER SIDE:)

“Ring, Ring…Hello?”

“Girl, have you been on FaceBook? Did you see what that girl wrote on his wall???”

“He friended how many girls in the last 30 minutes??? This is it…I’m calling him right now.”

<CLICK> You hang up the phone. As you begin to speed dial his number you wonder exactly what are you going to say to him? Luckily the blood pumping through your pounding temples & burning cheeks are making you feel no fear when he answers after the 1st ring.

“Hello…” he has no clue what he is in for. You almost feel sorry for him when you hear how sweet his voice sounds when he answers. That blend of excitement & puppy love in his voice are charming but nothing will erase the sound of your best girlfriend telling you & all your other girlfriends about what he just did to you on FaceBook!

“I can’t believe you friended all those girls today! Don’t you work or have a life…all you have to do is sit around & friend girls all day? Do you think it’s right for some girl to say she “can’t wait to have some alone time w/you,” right on your wall?

“Darling, those are my cousins & high school friends…it’s nothing everyone knows about you & me baby,” he can almost see a sliver of light. He just may make it through this if he plays his cards right.

“IF EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT US…THEN WHY HAVEN”T YOU CHANGED YOUR FACEBOOK STATUS?”

John Doe hangs his head because he knew that he’d been beat. There was simply no way he could get himself out of this corner tonight without a whole lot of work. She was NOT in the mood to listen to his excuse.

HELP US FINISH THIS STORY…life the NEW HIT SERIES Marriage Ref, YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Who’s side are you one?

1.) SHOULD John Doe have changed his FB status from SINGLE to IN A RELATIONSHIP?

2.) If so…when?

3.) Why does it matter?

*Giggles…this a problem many of my friends are going through RIGHT NOW! My point of view is that if people are together they are. A piece of paper, nor a FB status will prevent a man from cheating if he wants to. It’s the commitment & moral value that a man has deep in his heart that determine that. IF you trust the person you are with, you won’t have to worry about what a FB status may say. Your partners action & reaction to the world around him/her will prove where his/her interest lie.

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF…DEMAND RESPECT…EARN RESPECT BY GIVING IT

Dear Jane 2010

Sometimes in LIFE certain things “stick out,” & you don’t know why until much later…then everything seems to make sense.

A very dear friend is going through a difficult time. It’s the night before the judge officially ends a decade of marriage…a milestone not treasured, endured at best. What do you say to someone in this situation? I know how my heart broke at the loss of a loved on after a year, imagine 10 or 15 years?

Years ago I discovered this letter. It’s not exactly the same thing but I know I felt the same way I feel tonight the first time I read it…of course I changed the names to Dear John & Jane to protect the innocent, *Giggles. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Dear Jane,

It seems like forever since we’ve been together. These last few days until your divorce seem longer than I expected. Maybe I’m just taking more time out to think about my own situation & how I should handle it. I can only imagine what you are going through tonight.

I don’t know what the “right thing to do” IS in this type of situation. I’ve never been blessed with a spouse & children so I could never even imagine losing them in an instant after 10 years of marriage. You must be feeling so many things all at once right now.

A mix of EXCITEMENT for the new life that you have to create for yourself & the REGRET for the loss of the security 10 years of marriage provided you. Knowing what to expect from day to day, good or bad …at least you weren’t surprised. I know it will be hard for you but tomorrow will be the “1st day of the rest of your life!”

In these past few months our friendship has grown to love & our shared pain has helped build a connection that heals us both. Our journey so far has been together, making memories & creating promise for a brighter future. Tomorrow our paths must part. I love you…and I know that you need to take this leg of the journey alone, you have to relearn who you are before you can every really know what you want in life.

So my darling girl, go be beautiful…show that man all that he has lost. Not just your outward beauty but the inner glow of knowing that you are standing there in front of him as a confident SINGLE WOMAN. Proclaiming to the world that you NO LONGER will let his SHAME reflect on your LIFE.

Your husband cheated on you, you will need some time to discover all the things you have been missing all these years. I don’t want to be your consolation prize…go experience being a SEXY, SINGLE WOMAN & then come back to me if you still choose me. Know that I love you today more than ever & I look forward to meeting the you that you will become.

SLWCR Wins the GOLD!!!

Good Morning AWESOME Ladies!!

WE HAVE WON THE GOLD !!!!

This award will be given out at the Awards Banquet during the WCR Mid Year Meetings on May 14th in Washing DC (see attached schedule).

I have attached the 2009 Winners List….we are in the Large Chapter Division J We were Silver in 2008 so we are moving up.

Thank You to Everyone for doing all the right things in 2009 and a BIG THANK YOU to Ellen Tidwell, Madam President 2009 for keeping us all on track and helping us achieve this honor as well as the entire 2009 Governing Board and Committee Chairs.

President Brandie Mathison-Klein is keeping the momentum going and running a smooth ship this year too!!

Attached you will find the Annual Report for 2010 in case you want to see what we need to accomplish this year to again achieve the GOLD. Let’s all make sure and do our parts this year so we can easily meet our goals. We truly have an AWESOME Chapter which is only possible because of the hard work from all of our AMAZING Leaders….YOU!!! Thank You So Much.
