Few movies throughout the years have had enough humor & truth blended into them to create comedic perfection. In my humble opinion THE JERK has managed that in one unexpected package.

Stocks JUMP Strong JOBS number

“Stocks shot out of the gate Friday after the latest employment numbers showed signs of a stablizing job market.”
CNBC.com reported this morning regarding today’s JOBLESS numbers.
The report showed $247,000 jobs were cut from NON FARM payroll for July. Much lower than the projected 320,000 and paired with the prior two months reports being revised to reflect 43,000 fewer jobs were actually than than first reported.
“This is another indication that the economy is on an improving track and a confirmation that we’re going to see a positive GDP number for the third quarter and we’re going to be able to say that this recession ended in the third quarter of 2009,” Robert Dye, senior economist at PNC Financial Services, told Reuters. reported by CNBC.com
“Heading into today’s session, the Dow and S&P 500 are positive for the week by about 1%, while the Nasdaq is a few points lower. If all three can finish higher for the week, they would be up for the fourth consecutive week.” CNBC.com

Each year I work with a new group of POP WARNER cheerleaders with hopes of making it all the way to NATIONALS. The KEY to success is the same regardless of which SPORT you play. PERFECT THE BASICS and the rest will fall into place. This video is from right here in Florida, check it out & start working on your STICKING your arm movements TODAY!
Don’t be afraid to TAKE YOUR TIME…it’s better to do the motions slowly but using PERFECT FORM rather than learning them all quickly. Remember: “Every time you practice something the WRONG way it makes it harder to LEARN IT THE RIGHT WAY!” I like to practice in front of a mirror so I can see the LINES my arms & legs form. If you do not have a mirror available, pick a partner & try MIRRORING each other. Sometimes working with a TEAM MATE can help us keep our ARMS TIGHT:D

CASH FOR CLUNKERS
Here is a video clip from CNBC about the NEW & possibly already underfunded “Cash for Clunkers” program. If you already know about this program, please share your thoughts or sucess story below. (Feel FREE to leave a “pain in the butt” story. I heard those lines & paperwork were a pain?!? YES_ NO_ MAYBE_.)
“I think the CASH FOR CLUNKERS BILL is a GOOD IDEA that had to be tweaked to pass so quickly…getting cars off the roads that only go 18 MPG or less is wonderful. I only wish we would have made the new car meet at least 24 MPG instead of 22 MPG”
No wait make that 26 MPG…that’s better. How about 30? Do they make 30 MPG cars in US? I think the options could have been endless in the details of this bill. Passing this bill at all so quickly to help rebuild our economy in itself is a major accomplishment. I have to say, GOOD JOB! I think we have finally found something that makes an impact with the every man.

Many Americans have had a pent up need for a new car or just can no longer afford the $ bigger “GAS GUZZLERS” may add to our monthly gas expenses. This bill gave them a “guilt free solution.” By turning in an old inefficent automobile they will be reducing emissions that can be harmful to the enviornment. Some may even use chemicals no longer approved for general use or no longer meet current safety guidelines. The dealer must actually have the cars crushed & taken out of circulation. –>CAR CRUSH VIDEO
Now the CATCH is that you must put the up to $4,500 you get & put it towards the purchase of a car that gets at least 22 MPG. Most new cars easily meet that requirement so in addition to the $4,500, you earn $ in savings every time you fill up your tank! No matter what angle or reason you use…the $4,500 is a GOOD REASON that NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY (if you need a car anyway):D

Paolo Nutini – Candy

You might remember Paolo Nutini from his debut hit NEW SHOES. This time the 20 something Scotsman has brought us some folk flare & some seriously inspired arrangements with his newest album “Sunny Side Up.”
“Nutini plays the raggedly soulful Paisley boy on his homecoming, dispensing warm words of wisdom and heartfelt hippie sentiment to his nearest and dearest,” according to recent reviews.
All I can say is that I heard the song the first time as I walked past my TV. The melody & soulful voice forced me to come back & record the video. I honestly didn’t know who was singing it was so different from what I expected a Paolo Nutini song to be. It’s a fresh spin on the 70′s Folk era & I think due to similar turbulent times, his new voice will be well received.
