“There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process. ~Paul O’Neil, 1965″
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that leave the most lasting memories…
FISHING has always been one of my family’s favorite ways to spend time together without having to worry about fighting or complaining. Somehow, working together toward a common goal helps to wipe away all the negative things life tends to pile on our plate. Man (or woman) against fish seems like an unfair match up, but any fishermen out there knows…once in a while, the man actually stands a chance:D
Since the earliest recorded history, man has lived off the land in order to survive. Fishing was one of the more advanced skills men taught themselves in order to put food on the table. When faced by an ocean full of fish & just a thin line w/some bait attached to it, it’s no wonder that bringing home a basket full of fish not only meant a full belly but a chest full of pride.
Quotes about fishing can be found in history books, country songs & even the bible. Here are just a few to “lure” you into learning more about the sport!

“A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. ~Author Unknown“

We ask a simple question
And that is all we wish:

Or do only liars fish?
~William Sherwood Fox“
