JUSTICE LEAGUE: Are the men & women in the legal system modern day superheros?

We’ve all had brushes with the law

that made us doubt these are actually

“real people” whose job is

to protect and serve us.

Sometimes legal “red tape”gets us

so aggravated we forget the facts.

Laws were created to protect us in

some way, the legal system is in place

to ensure the laws are

being followed correctly.

“The same loop hole that won’t let the lady at the court house tell people how to fight the bank, protects our personal information,” my friend at Orange County explained to me.  “Deep down we are all just doing the best we can, trying to protect our jobs during these budget cuts. People see so much ugly that they have to tune it out! “Following the rules” acting “business as usual” is the only way to get through a day.  Seeing everything cross your desk from foreclosures to rape victims can wear you down, but we are all the same. We want to be proud of what we do and deep down we care about the people we work with.”

Judge Ian Richards is a shining example of the good in our legal system.  Fox 35 caught it all on tape!

Florida Judge jumps to clients defense!

BACKSTORY: Domestic violence suspect John Charles Reasee appeared in a Ft. Lauderdale courtroom Tuesday on charges stemming from his March 19th arrest.  His former girlfriend Nicole Word says she has been stalked & abused for months prior to his arrest.

ACTION: Judge Richards rules against Reasee, ordering him to  jail time for breaking a restraining order. The announcement triggered a violent reaction from the defendant.  Right in the middle of a packed court room Reasee took his frustration out on his ex girlfriend Nicole, attacking her before bailiffs could protect her from his dangerous blows.

ENTER: Judge IAN RICHARDS: Like a masked super hero, Judge Richards dropped his gavel and jumped over his bench to defend the domestic violence victim.

HER STORY:  “I saw the judge come down, and all these other people coming to help me to get this man off of me, I said “Please stop hitting me. ” Nicole Word describes her ordeal, “He hit me right in the temple … He knew he wanted to kill me.”

FOX 35 News caught it all on tape as Reasee was finally taken down with the judge on top of him. He now faces additional charges of domestic battery and resisting arrest.

“I bet he prays he gets a different judge next time!”
